Xiaochen Zhang
Xiaochen Zhang is a data scientist with a passion for causal machine learning applications. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Information Systems, Engineering, and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University, in addition to a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications. Zhang has worked as a Data Scientist at Uber, where she was responsible for marketplace forecasting and Maps ETA Prediction. She has also held positions as a Research Assistant and PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University and a Software Engineer Summer Intern at Ford Motor Company.
Most recently, Zhang worked as a Data Scientist specializing in methods and measurements at Roblox. She is committed to designing scalable infrastructure that enables a robust and efficient machine learning and experimentation platform. Beyond her technical expertise, Zhang has also played an active role in the CMU Summit on US-China Innovation & Entrepreneurship, serving as Conference Chair and directing the Venture Competition and IE panel.
