Wolfgang Giernalczyk

Wolfgang Giernalczyk is the Director of Education at University College Maastricht (UCM) with a rich background in educational management, advising, lecturing, and research.

With over two years of experience as a curriculum coordinator at UCM, Wolfgang is well-versed in overseeing academic programs.

Beyond managerial duties, he excels as an academic advisor helping students shape their curriculum within UCM's open structure.

In his role as a lecturer, Wolfgang teaches courses on argumentation, logic, international relations, and contributes to projects like the UCM Think Tank.

As a DAAD visiting fellow at University College Freiburg in 2015, he taught a course on 'Argumentation and Critical Reasoning.'

Wolfgang's research interests lie in international political economy, particularly the analysis of intergovernmental economic organizations, evident in his Ph.D. dissertation on the multilateral trade regime's institutional development.

Having completed a Doctorate in International Political Economy and earned a Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development, both from Maastricht University, Wolfgang also holds a Bachelor of Arts from University College Maastricht, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Globalization and International Regulation (IGIR) at Maastricht University.
