    Witold Henisz

    Witold J. Henisz is the Vice Dean and Faculty Director of the ESG Initiative and Deloitte & Touche Professor of Management at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.134 He is also the Director of the Wharton Political Risk Lab and the founder of the Wharton ESG Analytics Lab.12

    Henisz's research focuses on the impact of political hazards and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors on the strategy and valuation of global corporations.13 He has published extensively in top-ranked journals and authored the book "Corporate Diplomacy: Building Reputations and Relationships with External Stakeholders".14

    As an educator, Henisz has won multiple teaching awards, including being named Iron Prof in 2019 and an Aspen Institute Ideas Worth Teaching Award Winner in 2020.34 He teaches courses on corporate diplomacy and ESG integration in executive education programs.13

    In addition to his academic work, Henisz is a principal in the consultancy PRIMA LLC, working with multinational firms, asset managers, and various organizations.13 He previously worked for The International Monetary Fund.35

    Henisz holds a Ph.D. in Business and Public Policy from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and an M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.35
