William Warshauer

William Warshauer is the President and CEO of TechnoServe, a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing business solutions to alleviate poverty in the developing world. He assumed this role in August 2014, becoming the fourth leader of the organization, which has a history spanning over 46 years.12

Background and Experience::

• Early Career: Warshauer began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone, which sparked his long-term commitment to international development. He has since worked in over 40 developing countries.13
• Previous Roles: Before joining TechnoServe, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of Pact, Inc., where he oversaw operations across more than 25 countries. He also held positions at Voxiva Inc. and Population Services International (PSI), leading significant health and development initiatives.234
• Education: Warshauer holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University and a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School.35
