William Mowitt

William Mowitt is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in marine environmental science, public administration, and oceanic research.
He holds a BA in History from Williams College, an MPA in Public Administration from American University, and an MS in Marine Environmental Science from the University of Maryland at College Park.
William has held various key positions at the NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration), including Deputy Director of the NOAA Uncrewed Systems Operations Center and Commanding Officer of NOAA ships such as Henry B. Bigelow, Pisces, and Oscar Dyson.
Prior to his roles at NOAA, he served as a Congressional Fellow in the Office of Senator Mark Begich and held positions in program coordination, executive leadership, and field operations at NOAA.
