William Mize

William Mize is a dedicated individual with a passion for the outdoors and a strong commitment to serving others as a Nurse.

His educational background includes studying for LPN licenses in Texas and Maryland, Wilderness EMT training at Landmark Learning and National Outdoor Leadership School, as well as earning a Bachelor's Degree in Community & Public Health from the University of Maryland College Park.

William has also completed certifications in various areas such as Firefighting, Rescue Operations, HAZMAT response, and Emergency Vehicle Operations.

He has been actively involved in organizations like REI as an Outdoor Educator & Outfitter, and has served in roles including EMS Cyclist, Health Educator at NOLS Wilderness Medicine Institute, Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and Volunteer at Operation Oliver.

His past experiences include internships at UMD School of Public Health, serving as an ICU Wardmaster at 48th Forward Surgical Team, Firefighter II at Anne Arundel County Fire Department, TCCC Instructor at AMEDD Schoolhouse, and ICU Staff LPN at 48th Combat Support Hospital.

Additionally, William has volunteered for UMCP Alternative Breaks, been a part of a Peru outreach trip, and worked as a Videographer and EMT at Loyola College Department of Athletics.

Through his diverse experiences and extensive training, William Mize has developed a comprehensive skill set that enables him to make significant contributions in healthcare, emergency response, public health, and outdoor education.
