William Dunbar

William Dunbar is a veteran in the venture capital industry, having co-founded Core Capital in 1999 and currently serving as the Managing Director of the Washington DC-based firm.

With a focus on enterprise-related SaaS and internet technology companies seeking initial institutional funding, Will has a proven track record of identifying and supporting disruptive technologies in high-growth sectors.

In addition to his role at Core Capital, he holds board positions at companies like Pendo, Fugue, Radius Networks, and Stardog, showcasing his expertise in guiding the growth and strategic direction of startups.

Prior to establishing Core Capital, Will gained 13 years of experience in venture capital and private equity, where he played a key role in financing tech companies that later achieved significant success or were acquired by major players in the industry.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Will is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization Gold (YPO) and contributes to various non-profit organizations such as Venture Philanthropy Partners, the Meyer Foundation, and The Madeira School.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in youth baseball coaching, fishing, golfing, and supporting local sports teams like the Nationals.
