William C Stuart

William C. Stuart is an accomplished American artist and designer, known for founding Costantini Design in 2002, a high-end furniture and lighting company. Born in 1975 in the Bronx, New York, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Colgate University with Honors in Studio Art, receiving the John F. Fitchen III Art Prize in 1998. His artistic endeavors span various mediums, including sculpture, video, painting, photography, and writing.123

Stuart began his career as a multimedia artist and sculptor, which continues to influence his work at Costantini Design. The company specializes in custom furniture and lighting, with workshops located in both the United States and Buenos Aires. Since its inception, Costantini Design has produced over 10,000 unique objects, showcasing a blend of artistry and craftsmanship.145

In addition to his role at Costantini Design, Stuart has been involved in various artistic endeavors and exhibitions internationally. His work often reflects themes of permanence and ephemerality, as seen in his recent series of cast bronze and goatskin sconces.4 He maintains a studio in the West Chelsea Arts Building in New York City.34
