William Baxter

William Baxter is a driven and task-oriented individual known for his diplomatic skills and problem-solving abilities. With a background in the energy industry, William's passion for sustainability led him to establish Watershed Renewables, providing solar solutions to residential and commercial clients in the Bryan/College Station area.

William's journey in the energy sector began while working in the oilfields of west Texas and a coal mine near College Station. Witnessing the environmental impact of traditional energy sources motivated him to venture into solar energy. In 2010, Watershed Renewables merged with Solar Community, where William now serves as a Vice President, focusing on making solar energy affordable and accessible to a wider audience.

A graduate of Permian with a history degree from Texas A&M University, William furthered his education at Texas Tech University, earning a Master's in History. Currently, he is on sabbatical pursuing a Ph.D. in Energy History at the University of Houston. William's career includes roles such as Project Manager Commercial and Industrial at Enphase Energy, Director of Design Services at Renewable Design Solutions, Vice President of Installation and Distribution at Ontility, and President at Watershed Renewables.
