Will Martino

Will Martino is the Founder and President of Kadena LLC, a blockchain company he co-founded in June 2016.12 Martino has a background in blockchain technology and finance, having previously served as the Tech Lead for the SEC's Cryptocurrency Steering Committee and co-created JP Morgan's first blockchain.35

Martino holds a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics from Yale University.3 His expertise lies in advancing blockchain technology for real-world business applications, with a focus on institutional adoption. At Kadena, he has been instrumental in developing a scalable layer 1 Proof of Work blockchain and the Pact smart contract language.23

Prior to founding Kadena, Martino worked as the Lead Engineer for Juno, JP Morgan's open-source blockchain prototype.3 His experience in both traditional finance and emerging technologies has positioned him as a key figure in bridging these two sectors.35

Under Martino's leadership, Kadena has grown to employ between 51-200 people24 and has established itself as a leader in enterprise and public blockchain solutions. The company aims to provide a secure, scalable platform that bridges the gap between entrepreneurs and enterprises in the blockchain space.12
