Will DeLoache
Co-Founder and CSO at Novome Biotechnologies
Will DeLoache is a biotechnology entrepreneur and scientist who co-founded Novome Biotechnologies, a company based in South San Francisco that engineers bacterial therapeutics for chronic diseases.13 He currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) at Novome.14
Dr. DeLoache holds a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied synthetic biology and metabolic engineering in John Dueber's laboratory.1 He also obtained a certificate in Management of Technology from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.3 His undergraduate degree is a B.S. with Honors in Biology from Davidson College.13
Before co-founding Novome, Dr. DeLoache worked as a Scientist at Zymergen, where he led the development of the company's next-generation sequencing pipeline.13 At Novome, he initially served as President and CEO until 2019, helping to raise $40 million in financing.1 The company is developing genetically engineered microbial medicines (GEMMs) to treat chronic diseases.25
More recently, Dr. DeLoache has become a co-founder and CEO of Tabulous, further expanding his entrepreneurial ventures in the biotechnology sector.3
