As an educator, Wesley believes in unlocking every student's potential, regardless of challenges they may face. Wesley Lawson has pursued a robust academic journey, earning a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Bowie State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications/English Literature from North Carolina Central University, and further studies at North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Throughout his career, Wesley has held key roles in various organizations. Notably, he served as an Advanced Placement English Teacher at Friendship Public Charter School and as an English Teacher & Instructional Coach at Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts. Additionally, he contributed as an Education Innovation Fellow at CityBridge Education and taught English at different grade levels in schools like Archbishop Carroll High School and Booker T. Washington PCS.
