Enactus Business Energy Consulting Project Leader

PhD Research integrated Whole Systems analysis and evaluation of Local Authority Food Waste recycling for transport and domestic bioenergy production
o	Undertaking of novel project in conducting whole-systems (social, techno-economical, policy, regulatory, financial, environmental) analysis and excel modelling to explore feasibility, barriers and opportunities involved in food waste to transport biofuel production in Leeds, with outcomes to be extrapolated to a UK regional and national level in evaluating the wider potential future impacts
o	Research thus encompass key fields of food waste, renewable (bio)energy, green transportation and alternative applications of bioenergy (via the anaerobic digestion route)
o	Proactively reached out to non-established and established contacts for comprehensive food waste and biofuel conversion related data collection for the analytical and modelling process.
o	Proactively managed project on a daily basis with use of GANTT chart, highlighting new research opportunities alongside key research barriers for prioritizing and managing own work-load
o	Preliminary results indicated critical barriers of local funding and technical (facility) limitations towards enabling household food waste recycling for transport biofuel conversion
o	Conducted supplementary analysis and overview on principles of whole systems studies, key stakeholder engagement, history of climate change and sustainability regulations and legislations, alternative biofuels in transport in context of food and other waste management

2016 SEP-PRESENT – Energy Auditing and consulting
o	Significantly improved the Energy auditing process and standard from the previous year through application of self-taught training using online auditing templates and reports.
o	Recruited 5 team members for conducting level 1 & 2 energy audit services for local Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) by applying a social enterprise business model and the SMART framework.
o	Proactively contacted and liaised with interested SMEs including Roots and Fruits for energy audit, which led to identification of multiple energy efficiency measures with significant cost and energy-reduction potential (in heating, lighting and appliance electricity usage).
o	Liaised with Enactus business advisors to improve services by i) selectively targeting key SMEs with higher impact factor to the local community, and ii) organizing energy audit and consulting training

2016 DEC-PRESENT – AIG side project
o	Secured £2000 AIG funding via the wearable devices competition for implementation of a wearable devices side project (alongside BEEP’s main commitments) to local SMEs.
o	The project will involve conducting a needs assessment for and cost-benefit analysis of implementing wearable devices in local SMEs where they can deliver the greatest impact on employee health and wellbeing which could translate to improved business operations.

2017 FEB-PRESENT – Regional competition
o	Co-created and co-delivered Enactus presentation together with fellow Enactus members for live presentation in the 2017 Regionals competition. The process involved integration of BEEP’s accomplishment and client impact to date alongside those of other projects.
o	Liaised closely with BA business advisors on techniques for improving team presentation delivery, i.e. re-structuring script and more emphasis on key parts of presentation speech

Business Energy Efficiency Program (BEEP) Leader

- Handling of all email. coach bookings room booking (block booking for society events and individual dance rehearsal bookings) responsibilities in liaison with other committee members
-  Handling of all emergencies associated with room bookings, including last minute cancellations and non-available of rooms at Leeds University Union (LUU). Key contributory actions including identifying suitable LUU and external venues in liaison with committee members.

o	Liaised with 2 colleagues towards analysing different spheres of green transport, with personal undertakings on research of Electric Vehicles in Germany, Norway & Italy, and colleagues undertaking on Natural Gas and Hydrogen Vehicles across other selective countries.
o	Key technical learnings include application of whole-systems PESTLE framework and TOWS analysis for Electric Vehicle uptake in the study countries, with outcomes highlighting:
o	i) Key current uptake drivers, barriers and opportunities relative to observed past historical trends and developments, ii) Predictions of future EV uptake given current developments in the political, economic, regulatory, social, legislative and technological field
o	Summarized project research analysis and findings in form of joint academic-business styled report and Powerpoint for presentation to SDG consulting (main funder) towards assisting with their consulting in the field of sustainable transport
- 2015 OCT-DEC – Semester 1 group mini-project on analysing policies and business models in relation to biomass resource availability to Leeds City Council
o	Closely collaborated with 2 colleagues on analysing local biomass availability from a feedstock, technological and integrated policy-business perspective, whilst focusing on the latter theme
o	Conducted biomass waste policy and business model research and analysis for Leeds City Council (LCC) in reviewing past historical trends in bioenergy policy and business case development
o	Integrated findings of local biomass feedstock quantity and technology availability data in support of proposed policies and business models (Joint Venture partnership between LCC and private companies) suitable for use for local bioenergy production
