Chief Pricing Officer- ReAssure

Responsible for recommending pricing on potential M&A transactions within the Swiss Re Life Capital business unit including ReAssure UK, iptiQ US, iptiQ EMEA and elipsLife. The team develops appropriate models, performs due diligence and liaises with stakeholders both internally within the Swiss Re group and the relevant operating entity but also externally with vendors and consultants. Together with the Head of M&A, I am a key member of the negotiating team and if successful the team is intricately involved with post transaction onboarding.

Responsible for the pricing of Swiss Re's Life & Health reinsurance business in the UK and Ireland including Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection, Medical and Group. Member of the Management Committee of Swiss Re Europe SA.

I started and lead the team comprising full-time and part-time champions of new L&H product innovations across the region. We built new products to be rolled out but also worked with other teams on their product development by facilitating sessions at various stages of ideation and build.

NBC is an Employee Benefits Consulting firm with its roots within Alexander Forbes. I was responsible for our largest P&L, which focused on the public sector. Key clients included the Government Employees Pension Fund, National Treasury, the Road Accident Fund and Parliament.

The NBC division (originally Negotiated Benefit Consultants) within Alexander Forbes had an excellent track record of establishing and consulting to union-sponsored retirement funds in South Africa. These funds were generally designed to offer better early leaving benefits but also more appropriate death benefits compared to many employer-sponsored schemes at the time. This not only greatly improved the access of unionised workers to employee benefits in general, but also improved their value for money.
I joined to help broaden the scope of the division ahead of it being spun off as a separate entity, specifically its defined benefit and insurance capability.
