Warren Thompson

Warren Thompson is a seasoned accountant with over 25 years of experience, primarily in executive management.

He kickstarted his career at Deloitte and Touché, where he honed his skills and completed his articles before venturing into entrepreneurship.

In 1995, Warren departed from D&T to join a team that acquired two Ford motor dealerships and subsequently co-founded and took MotoLink Limited public on the JSE.

Warren's entrepreneurial spirit led to the merger of MotoLink with Super Rent in 1997, forming the renowned transport entity, Super Group.

Over a span of 15 years at Super Group, he spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives like outsourced transport financial leasing in the government sector in South Africa.

Ascending the ranks, Warren assumed managing director roles in various divisions, contributing significantly to the Group's success.

By 2005, he ascended to the Group Exco as an understudy to the Group CEO, playing a pivotal role in the international business and overall strategic direction of the Group.

Recognizing the burgeoning M&A landscape in Africa, Warren co-established an African advisory firm in Mauritius in 2009, which evolved into the present-day Summit Africa.

Warren's core belief in cultivating genuine relationships has been the cornerstone of his illustrious career, complementing his forte in strategy execution and value creation through proficient private equity deployment.
