Warren Scharf

Warren B. Scharf has been the Executive Director of Lenox Hill Neighborhood House since 2003.12 He has a long and distinguished career in public service and law:
Education and Early Career
Warren Scharf graduated from Columbia College with a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Cultures, specializing in Chinese. He then earned his Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Columbia Law School.2
His legal career began at the law firm Fried Frank, where he worked as an associate in the Corporate Department from 1983 to 1986.2
Legal Aid and Advocacy Work
After his time in corporate law, Scharf transitioned to public interest work:
- He served as an attorney at the Urban Justice Center from 1986 to 1988.2
- From 1989 to 1995, he was the Attorney-in-Charge of The Legal Aid Society of NYC's Brooklyn Office for the Aging.2
