Wania Rafi

Wania Rafi is the Co-Founder of K-Solar (Pvt) Ltd., a pivotal component of K-Electric's distributed generation business in Pakistan.

Currently, she excels in overseeing business operations, procurement, and IT functions at K-Solar, driving innovation and efficiency in the renewable energy sector.

Recognized for implementing SAP Business By Design (ByD) ERP and CRM system, along with an advanced SAP IoT-based solar monitoring NOC system, enhancing productivity and monitoring capabilities.

With a keen interest in renewable and alternate energy, Wania is deeply involved in cutting-edge technologies such as battery energy storage systems, electric vehicles, virtual power plants, grid modernization, microgrids, and AI.

Her strategic leadership has been instrumental in spearheading the grid fiber initiative and formulating business models for charging infrastructure development at KE, contributing to business diversification efforts.

In terms of education, Wania holds a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical from NED University of Engineering and Technology, where she achieved the 4th position in the BE (Electrical) Batch 2008-09.

Prior to her current roles, she gained valuable experience as an intern at the Pakistan Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, honing her skills and expertise in the renewable energy landscape.
