Wale Aboyade
Energy and Infrastructure/PPP Program Manager
Wale Aboyade is a seasoned professional with a diverse educational background. He holds an Executive Certificate in Infrastructure in a Market Economy and Public Private Partnerships from Harvard Kennedy School. His expertise also includes a PVsyst Training Course in Solar PV Design from Stellenbosch University. Wale further honed his skills with a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Cape Town, a PhD in Gasification, Pyrolysis, Coal/Gas-to-Liquids, Biomass conversion, and Energy process modelling from Stellenbosch University, a Masters in Environmental and Sustainability Science from Lund University, and additional studies at the Federal University of Technology Akure.
Professionally, Wale has held key roles in prominent organizations. He currently serves as a Senior Energy Specialist at USAID. Previously, he showcased his leadership as the Senior Manager for Green Economy and Head of the Climate Innovation Centre South Africa at The Innovation Hub. Wale also co-founded and directed Protergia Energy Nigeria Ltd, contributed his expertise as an Energy Specialist at the University of Johannesburg, and conducted research as a Research Fellow in Energy and Process Systems Engineering at the University of Cape Town.
