Dr. Wael Salloum is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background in computer science and information systems management.
He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in Natural Language Processing, from Columbia Engineering where he is expected to defend his dissertation in Fall 2015.
His academic journey includes earning a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science from Columbia University.
Prior to his doctoral studies, Wael obtained a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from the Arab Academy for Banking and Finance Sciences.
Wael's educational foundation also includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) with a major in Software Engineering & Information Systems from the University of Damascus, Faculty of Information Technology Engineering, along with an Associate of Science (AS) in Computer Engineering from the University of Damascus, Institute of Computer Engineering.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Wael Salloum has held various significant roles in several organizations, showcasing his leadership and expertise.
He served as the Founder and Chief Science Officer at Mendel.ai, Senior Research Scientist at EMR.AI, and Co-Founder and CTO at MedTools.com.
His experience also includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant (Funded by DARPA) at Columbia University, Project Supervisor at the University of Damascus, and Co-founder at Lifeboon.com.
Furthermore, Wael has contributed as an Assistant Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Kalamoon, a Freelancer at Spacetoon Online, an IT Manager at Sahara Touristic Complex, and a Lecturer and Project Supervisor at the Syrian Virtual University.
