Wade Barnes is the Chief Executive Officer of Ronin Agronomy, a precision agronomy company he founded in 2023 after stepping down as CEO of Farmers Edge, a company he co-founded in 2005. Instead, the company focuses on integrating existing technologies and forming partnerships, such as with a European sensor company.12 The name "Ronin" is inspired by the masterless samurai of Japan, symbolizing resilience and independence—qualities that Barnes believes resonate with farmers today.2
