Vivek Soni

Vivek Soni is a seasoned investment banking and private equity expert with over two decades of experience across London, Mumbai, and New Delhi. He has worked with distinguished financial organizations such as EY, KPMG, Bank of America, Lehman Brothers, and Berggruen Holdings. With a CA and MBA in finance from London Business School under his belt, Soni has a broad range of experience in business restructuring, development, and scaling, debt financing, equity raising, new product development, and business management.

Currently a Partner and National Leader for Private Equity Services at EY, Soni was previously a Partner for Private Equity Group at KPMG India and an Operating Partner at Berggruen Holdings India. He has also worked in Real Estate Private Equity at Lehman Brothers, Global Real Estate Group at Lehman Brothers, Global Structured Products at Bank of America, and Associate Vice President of Corporate Finance at Ernst & Young.

His expertise encompasses due diligence and audit experience, structured finance deals involving infrastructure and renewable energy assets, real estate debt finance, and management, private equity investing, and equity raising. Soni also led the GEAR Group, a portfolio company under BHI, which grew in scale and started two new businesses under his stewardship. He is an astute strategic thinker, with a unique combination of financial and operational experience.
