Vittorio Murino

Vittorio Murino is a full professor at the University of Verona in the Department of Computer Science, located in Verona, Italy. He has a distinguished academic background and extensive experience in the fields of computer vision, pattern recognition, and machine learning. Murino previously served as the director of the Pattern Analysis & Computer Vision (PAVIS) facility at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) from 2009 to 2019 and worked as a Senior Video Intelligence Expert at Huawei's Ireland Research Centre from 2019 to 2021.

His research interests encompass deep learning, particularly in areas such as domain adaptation, multi-modal deep learning models, and zero/few-shot learning. He applies these techniques to various domains, including human behavior analysis, biomedical imaging, and underwater vision, focusing on applications in surveillance, security, and neuroimaging data analysis.
