With a background in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Queen's University, she blends academic expertise with practical experience.

Virginia has an extensive career history that includes roles such as Senior Advisor at a Biotech Company in stealth mode, Principal at Artisan Ant, and Founding Board Member and Past President at the North American Coalition for Insect Agriculture. She has also served in various capacities at organizations like MarineSitu, CleanTech Alliance, Beta Hatch, SpringStar Inc., Tacoma Community College, and more.

As a Circular economy and manufacturing expert, Virginia has been instrumental in pioneering insect agriculture, developing sustainable proteins, and pushing the boundaries of biotech applications. Her inventions have contributed to global efforts in food security, vaccine development, and even space exploration. Throughout her journey, Virginia has also shared her knowledge as an Adjunct Faculty member and Graduate Coordinator, enriching the academic landscape with her insights.
