Viraf Heerjee

Viraf Heerjee was born and raised in Mumbai, having completed his schooling at The Scholar High School and pursued Science in junior college at Jai Hind College. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and is currently pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Marketing from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management.

Viraf's passion for sailing led him to achieve great success in the sport, winning National Championships and participating in international events including the Asian Games Sailing Championship. Following his graduation in marine engineering, he worked as a Marine Engineer on Oil Carriers and Very Large Gas Carrier ships for Northern Marine Management, a company under Stena AB.

In addition to his maritime career, Viraf co-founded Fair Winds Sailing School in Mumbai, where he not only served as a sailing instructor but also contributed as a Business Developer. His international sailing experience allowed him to introduce advanced sailing techniques to the school. Transitioning to shore-based roles, he took on the position of Business Developer at Vaitarna Marine Infrastructure Limited, where he gained valuable insights into different business perspectives.

Going forward, Viraf's decision to pursue an MBA was fueled by his desire to gain a comprehensive understanding of business management across various sectors and functions. His experience as a Digital Marketing Manager at Godrej Properties Limited and previous internships in sales and strategy roles further enriched his professional journey.
