Vinyas Harish

Vinyas Harish is an aspiring clinician-scientist with a focus on bridging clinical medicine, artificial intelligence, and emergency preparedness.
He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation with a concentration in Clinical Epidemiology.
Vinyas completed his Bachelor of Computing Honours in Biomedical Computing at Queen's University and excelled with a 4.1/4.3 cGPA, earning a Medal in Computing and Information Science.
His academic journey began with an International Baccalaureate Diploma in Sciences, scoring 40/45 points and ranking in the 96th percentile globally.
He has been involved in various prestigious organizations such as the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society, Vector Institute, and the Centre for Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Disease (CMMID) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London.
Vinyas has also contributed significantly as a Graduate Research Assistant at institutions like The Hospital for Sick Children and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto.
His involvement extends to roles such as Advisor at the Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Student Society (AiMSS), Technology and Innovation File Lead at the Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS), and Graduate Research Fellow at the Ethics of AI Lab, Centre for Ethics at the University of Toronto.
