Vincent van Haaff

Vincent van Haaff, also known as flyingoctopus, is a renowned media artist and software developer with a vast experience working on projects involving computer code, design, and rule-based systems. Originally from Southern California, Vincent's career path took him from co-founding a record label to becoming an environmental club founder, and finally a digital media artist.

Vincent studied Digital Design, Interactive and User Experience Design, as well as Post-Grad, Digital Design at the Vancouver Film School. Throughout his career, he has developed expertise in computational aesthetics, computer vision, data visualization and analytics, event and community installation, and user-centered design.

Vincent has worked for several organizations, including FarmLink Marketing Solutions, ProShop ERP, Fluency, Xeraflop Tech, Vancouver Airport Authority, David Suzuki Foundation, and Misty West. His diverse experience provided him with an impressive skill set that includes software development, DevOps automation, quality assurance, and project consulting.
