Vincent Keunen

Vincent Keunen is a cancer survivor, software engineer, entrepreneur, and the Founder & CEO of Andaman7, a startup focused on enhancing healthcare through innovative software technology. Andaman7 offers a patient-centric health intermediation platform to empower patients in managing their health data, facilitate outcome measurement for pharma and research, and support disease management for hospitals and doctors.

Keunen's expertise lies in decentralized clinical trials, real-world data collection, quality of life studies, and patient engagement, which are facilitated through Andaman7's Patient Engagement Platform (PEP). The platform ensures data security and privacy by storing information on the edge of the network (mobile devices) and employs a distributed peer-to-peer data exchange method.

Andaman7 complies with various regulations including GDPR, HIPAA, FDA 21 CFR part 11, and EU Annex 11. It is utilized by individuals across 30+ countries and is available in over 20 languages. Keunen's professional background includes developing prevention-oriented electronic health records for large-scale healthcare systems, creating secure medical messaging platforms like meXi and Medibridge, and pioneering mobile electronic health records since the early '90s.

Vincent Keunen has been recognized for his contributions to the healthcare IT sector, having been named CIO of the Year in 2011 and achieving three successful exits in his career. Apart from his role at Andaman7, he has been associated with various organizations such as HIMSS, Agence du Numérique (AdN), Management Expertise, Yelido, S23Y - Software Services For Energy, Lampiris, and more. He has also been involved in academic research as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at the University of Liege.

Keunen's educational background includes studies in Computer Science at Université de Liège, and he has participated in various exchange programs during his academic journey.
