Vikram Kirloskar was an Indian businessman and industrialist who served as the Vice Chairman of Toyota Kirloskar Motor until his passing on November 29, 2022, at the age of 64.12 He was a fourth-generation member of the Kirloskar business family and played a crucial role in bringing Toyota's business to India in the late 1990s.13
Born in November 1958 in Bengaluru, India, Kirloskar graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).13 His career highlights include:
- Initiating a partnership between Toyota and the Kirloskar Group, leading to the establishment of Toyota Kirloskar Motor in 1997.1
- Serving as President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) from 2013 to 2015.1
