He has also worked on new product initiatives in areas such as Maps and Emerging Markets.

    Before joining Microsoft, Vikram designed and shipped award-winning consumer products for Mac and Linux platforms at Real Networks, contributing to the company's open source strategy. Additionally, he engaged in research work in social & human computing and had experience in an innovation laboratory setting.

    Vikram's educational background includes studying Engineering & Applied Science at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and postgraduate fellowship in Entrepreneurship, Business & Management through the Art Center Entrepreneurial Fellowship Program. He started his first company while participating in an NSF-sponsored entrepreneurial program involving Caltech, Art Center, and UCLA Anderson.
