Vikas Malhotra

Vikas Malhotra is an accomplished professional with a strong background in driving economic development in emerging regions through SMBs and startups.

After completing his MS degree from Stanford GSB, Vikas dedicated nine years to initiatives that have positively impacted various regions.

During his time in Colombia, he successfully transformed a struggling company into a profitable venture, established a market-focused strategy for an NGO, and facilitated the enhancement of over 800 small businesses by implementing modern technologies and global best practices.

In the past five years, Vikas has been instrumental in developing the startup ecosystem in Poland and neighboring countries.

His recent project, Maverick Nation, aims to engage local governments, investors, and corporations in creating a self-sustaining startup environment that nurtures growth and innovation.

Vikas aspires to see startups not just surviving on grants but thriving in a competitive marketplace, providing investment and business prospects for the global community.

His education includes a diverse range of studies from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, Stanford Law School, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Throughout his career, Vikas has held key positions in various organizations, including Founder/CEO at Maverick Nation, Chief Strategy Officer at StartUp Hub Poland, and roles at Wipro Limited, among others.

His experience spans from consulting on corporate innovation and startup ecosystems to project and bid management, highlighting his versatile skill set and extensive industry knowledge.
