    Vik Bahl, a respected figure in the field of English Literature, holds a Ph.D. in English Literature with a keen interest in ethnic and post-colonial literatures, cultural studies, and social movements from the University of Texas at Austin. Since 1998, he has been a dedicated member of the English Division faculty at Green River College.

His influence extends to several boards including the WA CTC American Indian Advisory Board (WCAAB), the Toyin Falola Center for the Study of Africa (TFCSA), the Center for Convivial Research and Autonomy (CCRA), and Tasveer, a Seattle-based South Asian film and arts organization. He has also been associated with University Beyond Bars (UBB), a Seattle non-profit focused on providing higher education opportunities to prisoners. This vast array of engagements demonstrates his deep-rooted commitment to social causes and academic excellence.

    Vik Bahl is a co-author of an insightful collection of poetry titled 'Scoundrels of Deferral: Poems to Redeem Reflection,' offering a profound exploration of his 1.5 generation Indian American identity, originating from Punjab, India. Through this work, he delves into his personal experiences, the obstacles he has faced, and his aspirations, providing a unique perspective on cultural nuances and societal challenges.

    In terms of his academic background, Vik Bahl pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from the University of Michigan prior to obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. He previously served as Faculty at Green River College and as an Assistant Instructor at The University of Texas at Austin, honing his teaching skills and contributing significantly to the academic community.
