Vijaya Shanker

Vijaya Shanker is an accomplished CTO/CIO with a wealth of experience in Product Engineering, Automation Engineering, IT Strategy, and Managed Services Operations spanning over 26 years.

Currently serving as the Senior Vice President & CTO at Symphony SUMMIT, Vijay oversees the Innovation, Product Management, Engineering, and Pre-sales of the ITIL Certified platform 'SUMMIT', a cutting-edge enterprise Cognitive ITOM software available on Public and Private Cloud.

Vijay has played a pivotal role in forging global strategic alliances with Managed Service Providers, Consulting Firms, and SI's to drive product sales worldwide. He is the visionary architect behind the Cognitive ITOM Platform and instrumental in launching Symphony SUMMIT as a standalone company with significant R&D investments.

Previously, Vijay held the position of Vice President & CIO at Symphony Teleca, where he led the Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, and IT Automation Engineering teams across multiple countries. He was also responsible for overseeing the profitable Managed Services business.

During his tenure at Symphony Teleca, Vijay spearheaded the design and implementation of ERP systems with complete automation of Finance, HR, Facilities, and IT processes, resulting in enhanced data visibility and operational efficiency within a remarkably short timeframe.

Vijay's leadership was pivotal in achieving various prestigious certifications, including the World's First Certification on Software Asset Management 'CSS(O)' from Business Software Alliance, World's First ITIL Certification (BS15000), ISO 27001, and ISO 20000 (ITIL) certification for Enterprises.

Vijay Shanker completed his education with a Bachelor of Engineering in Communication and Electronics from Bangalore Institute of Technology, preceded by studies at Aloysious Junior College and St. Germain'S Boys High School.
