Vijay Tallapragada
Vijay Tallapragada is a seasoned professional with a strong background in meteorology. He completed his Ph.D. in Meteorology at Andhra University and also studied as a Research Associate (Faculty) in Meteorology at Florida State University. Vijay has held key positions at reputable organizations, including the National Weather Service and NOAA, showcasing his expertise and leadership in the field. Currently, he serves as the Chief of the Modeling and Data Assimilation Branch at the National Weather Service, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing weather modeling and data assimilation. In the past, he has held significant roles such as Chief of the Global Climate and Weather Modeling Branch at the National Weather Service and Hurricane Team Leader at NOAA. With a wealth of experience in hurricane modeling and support, Vijay has also served as a Task Lead for Hurricane Modeling Support at IMSG and SAIC.
