Vijay Anand is a seasoned professional with a vast array of expertise ranging from cloud security and big data ERP, to telecoms and biomedicine. With over 20 years of experience, he has gained a wealth of knowledge from various positions he has held in different organizations. Anand boasts multiple prestigious awards, including the Smithsonian Advisory Council awards for four consecutive years, the 2011 RASCO (OPEC) Oil and Gas award, and the 2010 Microsoft NUI Code Challenge winner. He also qualified for the XPRIZE 100 MPGe Car and won twice in the Energy Engineering, Scrubbers & Process Award DQ Group. Anand's career kicks off as an intern in WakeMed's Bio Medical Engineering department, where he gained foundational knowledge that later helped him develop software systems at Bell Northern Research. He started focusing on product development, GIS, C2, C3, and geofencing as a consultant at Intergraph, where he was responsible for product development and GIS system implementations. Following this, Vijay Anand moved to the telecoms sector, where he designed and developed products for Fujitsu Network Communications before joining SI International as a Principal Nuclear Detection Safety Architect. He worked in Northrop Grumman Corporation as Chief Technologist - PSS OU (Dir. Technical Sales), GridPoint, Inc. as a Platform Architect, and SAIC as their Chief Engineer. Most recently, Anand worked as a Sr. Principal Sales & Sr. Solutions Director at Mapjects, where he also held positions in technical sales engineering, product design, and delivery. He is currently the DHS USCIS MS Dynamics CRM & AWS Architect and VP. Eng. FRG at Plan Systems.
