Victoria Chow

Victoria Chow is a prominent entrepreneur and the founder of Sip Straight, a boutique consultancy that specializes in cocktail bars and spirits. The consultancy offers a range of services including bar consultation, workshops, content development, and tasting events. In addition to her work with Sip Straight, Chow is also the co-founder and distiller at Waldgeist Distillery, where she focuses on producing hyperlocal sipping gins and eau de vies, aiming to revive a family distillery.12

Chow's career in the beverage industry began with the establishment of The Woods, a lifestyle brand that includes a cocktail bar, events and catering services, and a line of canned cocktails called KWOON. The Woods is recognized as the "World's First Nomadic Bar," which has significantly influenced the artisanal cocktail scene in Asia since its inception in 2014. Chow's innovative contributions to the industry earned her a spot on Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia in 2019, as well as accolades from the WSET & IWSC Future 50 Awards.12

Born in California, Chow spent her early years traveling between Hong Kong and San Francisco before settling in Hong Kong for secondary school. She holds degrees in Mass Communications and Art History from UC Berkeley. Recently, she has returned to the San Francisco Bay Area.1
