Vicki Owen

Vicki Owen is a doctoral candidate and Co-Chief Resident in the clinical psychology program at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.1 She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Southern Methodist University and later worked as a research assistant at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.1

During her time at UT Southwestern, Vicki has gained extensive clinical experience:

1. She completed her second-year practicum training at the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center, focusing on assessment, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention with detained adolescents.1
2. She served as a member of the Psychological Services Consult Liaison team at Children's Health℠ Children's Medical Center Dallas, rotating through various specialties including solid organ transplant, gastroenterology, and hematology.1
3. For the 2016-2017 academic year, she planned to complete her second internship rotation at Spectra Therapies and Evaluation Center.1

Vicki's research interests include adolescent depression. For her dissertation, she is conducting a components analysis of a randomized controlled trial of a cognitive behavioral relapse-prevention program for children and adolescents with Major Depressive Disorder.1
