Venkat Thiruvengadam

Venkat Thiruvengadam is the Founder and CEO of DuploCloud Inc..1 He is also the founder and author of the DuploCloud platform, which aims to simplify the building and operation of cloud-native applications.1

Thiruvengadam was one of the founding members of the Azure networking team at Microsoft in 2008.12 He contributed significantly to Azure's compute and network controller stack until 2013, and his work continues to power a large portion of Azure's cloud deployment.1 He recognized the need for hyper-scale automation techniques outside of major cloud providers and founded DuploCloud to address this gap.2

Before DuploCloud, Thiruvengadam held positions at Zenefits as a Principal Engineer, focusing on infrastructure automation for microservices (2015-2017), and at Insieme Networks (Cisco) as an MTS, working on the Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) SDN Controller Team (2013-2015).1 Earlier in his career, he was a Network Engineer at Siemens Public Communications Networks (2001-2003) and a Research Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology (2003-2005).1

Thiruvengadam earned an MS in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology (2003-2005) and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia (1997-2001).1 He was also awarded the Microsoft Gold Star Award twice.1
