Vanessa Wruble is an American entrepreneur, journalist, and activist, born on August 27, 1974. Early Life and Education
Wruble grew up in Washington, D.C., and is the daughter of Bernhardt K. Wruble, a prominent lawyer. She graduated from Sidwell Friends High School and earned a BA from Williams College, where she studied women’s issues, psychology, and fiction writing. Additionally, she holds Master's degrees in social research in psychology from The New School and in interactive media from NYU.
Career Highlights
Before her activism, Wruble served as the first international correspondent for Al Gore's Current TV and worked as a journalist and communication specialist for the United Nations. In 2011, she co-founded OkayAfrica, a digital media platform that focuses on African culture, music, and politics, which she led for seven years.

After leaving the Women's March due to concerns over antisemitism within the movement, she established March On to continue advocating for women's rights and political participation.
