Vanessa Kargenian

Vanessa Kargenian is a professional with a keen interest in emerging technologies such as crypto, blockchains, stablecoins, CBDCs, and DeFi, and their impact on global financial systems.

She has a background in Public Policy, holding a Master's degree in Public Policy (MPP) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Michigan.

Vanessa currently serves as the Director of Research at the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) at Fidelity Investments, where she plays a key role in bridging the gap between technology, academia, business, and policy.

Prior to her role at Fidelity, she held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an IT / Cybersecurity Risk Examiner and FinTech Policy Advisor, as well as a Supervisory Development Assistant Examiner.

Vanessa also has experience as a Financial Analyst at Apple Inc., bringing a diverse skill set to her current role.

She is enthusiastic about contributing to the ongoing fourth industrial revolution and is passionate about driving innovative solutions in the financial sector.
