Vanessa Colina

Vanessa Colina is a versatile professional known as a UX Lead, speaker, writer, and podcaster, with a specific focus on creating market-responsive experiences.

She is presently deeply involved in her project, UX Backstage, aimed at bridging the gap between business objectives and design principles, while also overseeing the curation of TechStar's global digest for Design.

Vanessa's academic background boasts a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Graphic Design from the Design Institute of Valencia, a Master's degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris, and additional studies in Human-Computer Interaction for User Experience Design from MIT and an Engineer’s degree in Information Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica del Centro (UNITEC).

Vanessa Colina has held pivotal roles in various organizations, from being the Founder of UX Backstage to previously serving as the Startup Digest Curator for Design at Techstars, and as a Member of the Design Leadership Forum at InVision.

Her past experiences also include influential positions such as User Experience Lead at the Inter-American Development Bank, speaking engagements at Amazon and Adobe, and playing roles as the Technology and User Experience Design Lead at the Inter-American Development Bank, Creative Advisor at Gecko Health Innovations Inc. (GeckoCap), Tuts+ Author at Envato, and Owner of Vanessa Colina.
