Van L. Vincent is a climate change visionary and urban developer involved in delivering sustainable projects to urban centers.
As the President & CEO of VLV Development, a certified MBE/WBE, veteran-owned firm, Van focuses on renewable energy solutions for low-income communities.
His firm completed the 1.1MW PV Solar component for the Bronzeville Community Microgrid and aims to develop 50MW of solar-plus-storage for critical facilities and affordable housing in Chicago.
Van has experience in affordable housing development, public and private sector partnerships, and managing large portfolios in excess of $150 million.
He holds a Master's in Human Services Administration and has participated in executive-level programs at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, Van has been recognized for his leadership in clean energy initiatives and climate security.
He has also studied climate finance and sustainable energy in various locations in Europe and holds a Bachelor's degree from Chicago State University.
