Valori Maresco is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SIL LEAD, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities use their languages to improve their quality of life.145 She joined SIL LEAD in June 2015, and accounting is her fourth career.13
After graduating with a BS in Consumer Economics in 1983, Maresco served for 3 years as a missionary in Central America, 25 years as a homeschool mom of five sons, and 6 years as the Women's Ministry Director of a large church (some of that simultaneously).1 She then decided to study accounting and completed all the formal training needed to sit for the CPA exam between 2014-2016.1
