Valeriya Naumova

Valeriya Naumova is a data scientist and the director of Simula Consulting, where she focuses on leveraging deep tech to bridge the gap between academia and society.

With a passion for mathematics, Valeriya has a track record of developing predictive data-driven algorithms to address societal challenges, such as accurate blood glucose level predictions for diabetes patients and personalized cancer screening.

Her academic background includes a Master's Degree in Intellectual Decision Making Systems and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in Ukraine, as well as a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences (applied mathematics) from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz.

Valeriya has held various roles in prestigious organizations, including being a former Senior Researcher, Head of Department, and EU Coordinator in Computational Biomedicine at Simula Research Laboratory, as well as serving as a Researcher at the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics and a Lecturer at Johannes Kepler University.
