Valerie Weagle
Associate Director of Online Learning at Facing History and Ourselves
Valerie Weagle is an experienced eLearning instructional designer with a Master's degree in Child Development from Tufts University and a Bachelor's degree in English from Bates College. With a versatile background in education and research, she has contributed significantly to several educational organizations over the years. Valerie's expertise includes project management, instructional design, and curriculum development, among other skills.
Her work experience includes serving as a Project Director and Director of Instructional Design at EDC (Education Development Center), where she developed learning resources and managed teams in creating online and blended courses. As the Associate Project Director at EDC, she also assisted in managing large-scale curriculum development projects for K-12 education. Prior to becoming a director, Valerie worked as a Research Associate and Research Assistant at EDC.
Currently, Valerie works as an eLearning Instructional Designer at Facing History and Ourselves, where she creates new online content, updates existing courses, and ensures learning objectives are met. She has also helped build an eLearning platform that enables teachers and students to access Facing History's content online.
Valerie's dedication and passion for education have been evident throughout her career. Today, she is making a significant impact on eLearning at Facing History and Ourselves, as well as her ongoing contributions to the broader educational community.
