Valentin Vermersch

Valentin Vermersch, a tech general management and expansion expert, has gained a wide range of experience across LATAM, APAC, and ANZ in various sectors including foodtech, mobility, and education. He has launched three different marketplaces in as many continents in the last three years. With a strong passion for building and growing teams and ventures, Vermersch has managed to build and manage the leading Rocket Internet Platform in Cambodia, launch Uber Rides and Eats across Singapore, Australia, and Cambodia, and also GM and lead a regional UberEats LatAm Strategic Restaurants team.

Before becoming a seasoned entrepreneur, Vermersch studied Economics and Mathematics with High Honors (18.2/20) at Lycée Saint-Paul Lille before heading to ESCP Europe to study Entrepreneurship, Major. Vermersch has also studied at London City University for MSc and German MSc. Additionally, he studied National Defense Advanced Studies French Institute, International Relations, and National Security Studies at Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN).

Some of the organizations Vermersch has previously worked for include Deliverect, where he served as the General Manager for Latin America, mipOS, a YC start-up aggregating restaurants delivery channels as Cofounder & COO, Uber, where he launched Uber Cambodia (UberX) and UberEATS in Australia, among others.
