Urs Ramseier

Urs Ramseier is a co-founder and Executive Chairman of Twelve Capital, a Zurich-headquartered investment fund manager specializing in catastrophe bonds, insurance-linked securities (ILS), and reinsurance-linked investments.13 He has extensive experience in the insurance and financial industries:

1. Prior to co-founding Twelve Capital, Ramseier was Head of ILS at Horizon21, an alternative investment manager in Switzerland.3

2. His career began in 1995 with Credit Suisse in Zurich, later moving to London to work for Credit Suisse Financial Products.3

3. From 1999 to 2001, he worked as a sell-side Equity Analyst for insurance and real estate stocks at Lombard Odier & Cie in Geneva.3

4. He rejoined Credit Suisse First Boston in Zurich in 2001 as a buy-side Analyst and Portfolio Manager, managing investments in European insurance stocks.3

5. Ramseier holds a PhD from the University of Berne, with a major in Economic Geography.3
