Clive Chang
President & CEO @ YoungArts | The National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists
Clive Chang is the President & CEO of YoungArts.12 He was appointed to this position in January 2023 following an extensive national search overseen by YoungArts' Board of Trustees.1
Prior to joining YoungArts, Chang served as Executive Vice President, Chief Advancement & Innovation Officer at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.1 He has an impressive background that combines arts and business expertise:
- He holds dual bachelor's degrees from McGill University in music composition and finance
- He earned an MFA in Musical Theater Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts
- He also has an MBA from Harvard Business School
Chang is described as an innovative arts leader and lifelong artist. As a musician, he studied piano from age 5 and remains active as a pianist, music director, and composer/arranger.1 His experience and perspective as an artist himself are seen as valuable assets in his role leading YoungArts, an organization dedicated to identifying and supporting emerging artists.
In his position as President & CEO, Chang oversees YoungArts' strategy, programs, fundraising, communications, and operations.1 He reports directly to the Board of Trustees and is tasked with driving forward the organization's mission to identify, amplify, and support artists at every stage of their careers.
