Umair Iqbal is an experienced professional who joined Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. in 2019, bringing with him a solid background in Portfolio Management in Multi-Asset and Private Markets.

During his tenure at Aberdeen Standard Investments, Mr. Iqbal focused on research, idea generation, and portfolio management tasks, and also worked with the Institutional Team.

Before his time at Oaktree, Umair completed various internships, including roles at J.P. Morgan Chase in the Markets division and Ascot Lloyd in the Wealth Management team.

Additionally, he worked as an analyst at Metis Partners, specializing in Intellectual Property valuations within the Corporate Insolvency & Restructuring sector.

Umair Iqbal holds a Master of Arts degree in Politics from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, highlighting his strong educational foundation.
