Uma Moorthy holds a diverse educational background with a Master's in Financial Economics, a Master of Science in Economics, and a Master of Science in Statistics from prestigious institutions like Birkbeck, University of London, and Dyson School of Design Engineering. She also completed her Bachelor of Science at Colombo University.
With a rich and varied professional journey, Uma Moorthy has served in prominent roles across different organizations. She currently holds the position of Deputy Director of Social Care Analysis at the Department of Health and Social Care. Previously, she was the Deputy Head of the Health Care Analysis Team within the same department. Prior to that, she contributed as a Statistician at the Cabinet Office and as a Detached National Expert -Eurobarometer at the European Commission. Her expertise was also utilized as a Strategy Advisor at the UK Home Office. Additionally, she has shared her knowledge and experience as a Principal Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at London South Bank University.
