Tziona Breitbart is a Staff Attorney at Youth Represent. She graduated from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in 2021 and previously attended Smith College.1 Before law school, Tziona worked as the Volunteer Coordinator at Covenant House New York, an organization serving youth experiencing homelessness and trafficking.2
During law school, Tziona was passionate about ensuring legal rights for low-income individuals and defending the rights of juveniles. She interned at the family defense unit of Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem.2 After graduating, Tziona worked for the New Jersey Public Defenders' office before joining Youth Represent.1
At Youth Represent, Tziona enjoys meeting clients in person and providing comprehensive support, including representing them in court, helping with name and gender-marker changes, and applying for emergency funds on their behalf.1 Her desire to support justice-affected people motivated her to pursue a legal career focused on addressing the collateral consequences faced by young people in the justice system.1
